About BrokerMate
Freight brokerage has never been short on hard work.
What it has been short on is time.
Every day, operations teams spend hours entering loads, checking tracking, requesting PODs, answering routine emails, and updating customers. Those jobs matter — freight doesn't move without them. But they shouldn't consume the day of people you hired for their judgment, their relationships, and their ability to solve problems when a load goes sideways.
BrokerMate was created to handle the repetitive work so experienced brokers can focus on the work that actually grows a brokerage: serving customers, finding freight, and building relationships.
Who builds it
BrokerMate is built by Brent Michael, an independent freight broker running his own agency under Giltner's authority in the Dallas–Fort Worth market. Fifteen years in freight: thirteen brokering truckload and LTL freight — dry vans, flatbeds, box trucks and goosenecks — and two before that as an account manager at USA Truck.
Before freight, four years supporting business management software at Epicor. That mix is why this exists: enough time moving loads to know which fields on a rate confirmation actually matter, and enough time around software to know the difference between a tool that saves an hour and one that adds a step.

What we believe
We believe technology should make your workday easier — not more complicated. That single sentence drives every product decision we make. If a feature adds a system to manage instead of removing work from a desk, it doesn't ship.
A few more things we hold to:
- We're not trying to replace good people. We're helping good people spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time doing the work that grows their business. The best operations people solve problems and keep freight moving — no software does that.
- Humans stay in control. Nothing enters your TMS or reaches your customer without your rules allowing it. Review screens, confidence flags, and audit logs aren't afterthoughts — they're the product.
- Honesty over hype. Any software makes mistakes sometimes, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. We'd rather show you exactly what BrokerMate does — and what still benefits from human judgment — than promise magic.
- Prove it on your documents. Every demo runs against your real rate confirmations. If BrokerMate can't read your paperwork, you shouldn't buy it — so we show you first.
Who it's for
BrokerMate is built for freight brokerages and 3PLs — mostly teams of 5 to 100 — where every ops person wears three hats and the paperwork never stops. If your best people are spending half their day typing information from PDFs into a TMS, that's exactly the work BrokerMate was built to handle.
Where we're headed
We're starting where the hours are: forward a rate confirmation and get the load back, forward paperwork and get a clean PDF, plus tracking and customer updates. Over time, BrokerMate grows into a full operations platform — a roster of specialized AI assistants that work together on your freight, around the clock, with your team reviewing the wheel.
